Blue Vintage Dress (20's)

Aujourd'hui je voulais vous présenter une de mes robes vintage. Acheté 50$ dans un Vintage Shop (Desert Vintage à Tucson je fais un peu de pub !). J'ai travaillé pour eux il y a quelques temps pour restaurer certaines de leurs robes anciennes et ce fut un vrai plaisir, j'ai hâte qu'ils me rappellent !

Today, I would like to introduce you one of my vintage dress, buy 50$ in a Vintage Shop (Desert Vintage 4th av. in Tucson). I was working for them couple weeks ago fo conserve some of the dresses and I would be happy if they call me again !

The blue dress. 

Voici donc la bête ! Elle est faite dans un tissu assez épais et le col est couvert en velours ainsi qu'une écharpe du même velours (je l'ai cousu au "manteau" il y avait un super trou). Le milieu est une broderie d'inspiration orientale couverte avec de la dentelle. Une petite centure devrait marquer légèrement la taille mais il manque une partie de la robe.

And that's my girl ! She made in a heavy fabric with velvet on the collar and the scarf (attach to the "coat" because was the big hole). The middle part of the dress there is some oriental embroidery and cover with lace. It missing a belt clamping the waist a little.

Une petite poche ajoutée

Voici deux autres photos où l'on distingue mieux à la fois les broderies et la dentelle. Sur la première il y a aussi l'écharpe et le col en velours. Sur la seconde on peut apercevoir une petite poche réalisée dans un autre tissu et cousue de manière assez différente (pour ne pas dire chaotique !) du reste des coutures (faites à la machine). Cette poche a été ajoutée ensuite pour permettre de ranger, peut être un étui à cigarette (j'ai trouvé quelques trous sur la robe qui s'apparentent à des trous de cigarettes.)

Two others pix which on we can see more of the embroidery work and the lace. On the first you can also see the velvet collar and scarf. On the second one we can see a little pocket made in an other fabrics and sew differently (chaotic way as I say) than the other part of the dress (sewing machine). That pocket had, probably, been made after for stock something like a cigarette case (I've found a lot of cigarette hole on the dress).
