Dotted Shirt, two years from the greeny one !

Quand j'ai vu ce tissu j'ai tout de suite vu cette chemise ... J'aurais bien fait une robe, mais le coupon était bien trop petit !

De plus, j'avais un livre de couture assez simple avec une chemise col Mao bien expliqué. 

One day I was walking in my favorite fabrics store in Tucson and I saw that dotted pink fabric. Firstly, It was for a dress, but the coupon was to tiny for that. So I took one of my favorite book and look for a Mao Collar Shirt (love that type of collar !)

La première fois que j'ai utilisé ce patron c'était mon premier essai vêtement et j'avoue que si ça tombait pas trop mal, bah ... c'était trop petit ! Je travaillais sans mannequin, j'avais pas trop fait d'essayages non plus .... Donc premier essai peu concluant !

The first time I made that pattern was also my first try to made a shirt (and an attire !) ! The shape wasn't so bad, but ... it was to small ! I was working without a mannequin, I didn't do real trying so ... Wasn't so good ...

J'ai donc récidivé avec ce patron ! Parce que quand même j'allais pas me laisser abattre ! Je suis beaucoup plus heureuse de ce que j'ai réalisé après coup ! C'est mieux fait, les finitions sont plus léchées. Deux ans séparent ces deux essais ; j'avais fait des progrès entre temps !

Then I try again because I loved that pattern and I didn't want to stay on a disappointment ! Right now I happier with the pinky one ! It's better, the finish is great ! There is two years between this two shirts and it's showing to myself I can make progress !
